Soccer Field

Sept 2018, Barrington Area Soccer Assocation (BASA) donated 2 soccer goals to the Lake Barrington Countryside Park District. They are located between the playground and baseball fields. The field is available for all to use on a first-come, first-served basis. Keep in mind that parking can be limited on evenings when Village Board or Park District meetings are held.

Spray ParkThe Spray Park was installed in 2009. The Spray Park opens daily from sunrise to sunset from May 15th to Sept 30th. Adult supervision is mandatory for children of all ages. There is no fee. We do maintain the surface but because the surface can get slippery, no running on the surface is strongly advised. Cameras are on site for safety. If the splash pad needs to be shut down urgently, the switch can be pushed in and a click can be heard. This will stop the water from spraying. Once the urgent matter is resolved, the switch must be pulled outward gently to be able to turn the splash pad back on. If visiting our park, and the “On” button is pushed and does not work, please attempt to gently pull the emergency switch out and then push the “On” button again. We ask you to only push the emergency shut off for urgent matters and that adults operate the splash pad. The outdoor bathroom is open from May 15th to Sept 30th. A Porta Potty will be onsite October 1st to May 31st.

Baseball/Softball FieldThe baseball field was updated in 2009. The field was relocated to the southeast end of the property expanding the field size, addressing drainage issues, and creating a unique amphitheater style seating built into the adjacent terrain. With new full dugouts, it has been properly sized for youth baseball to age 12 and girl's softball. It will make for a perfect practice or game facility. The field is primarily used by BYBS for practices and games and they do have first priority. If BYBS is not practicing or having a game, then it is available for all to use on a first-come, first-served basis. Please visit their website at www.bybs.net for more information and their game schedule. Keep in mind that parking can be limited on evenings when Village Board or Park District meetings are held.

Tennis Courts/Pickleball

There are two tennis courts to the north of the Lake Barrington Village Hall. The courts are open to the community and feature state of the art lighting. Two pickleball courts have been painted on our courts. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but we ask that everyone be respectful of anyone that may be waiting to use the courts by limiting play to 60 minutes.

There is a timer with an activation button located at the entrance of the tennis courts that can be pushed to turn on the lights from dusk until 10pm. When the lights are activated, a strobe light will start flashing five minutes before the lights turn off. Players may continue to keep the lights on by again pushing the button. The lights are programmed to shut off at 10:00 pm.
